ALIEN ESCAPADE

Privacy Policy

EFFECTIVE · OCTOBER 21, 2026

This policy explains what information the Alien Escapade game (“the game,” “we,” “us”) collects, why, and what choices you have. The game is made by Reel Influence Media, LLC, doing business as Stacy’s Digital Playground. If you have any questions, contact us at stacy@stacysdigitalplayground.com.

This policy covers the Alien Escapade game only. Our website and other products are covered by our main Privacy Policy.

The short version

  • You don’t need an account to play, and we never ask for your name, email, phone number, or any other personal details.
  • Your game progress (your Cosmium, levels and daily puzzle progress) is saved only on your phone.
  • We collect a small amount of anonymous information about how the game is played, so we can make it better. It is tied to a random ID, not to you.
  • Ads only play if you choose to watch one for a reward. They come from Google AdMob and are not personalized to you.
  • Purchases are handled by Apple. We never see your payment details.
  • The game never asks to track you, we don’t track you across other apps or websites, and we don’t sell your information.

1. Information saved on your phone

The game saves your progress on your device so you can pick up where you left off:

  • your Cosmium balance (the game’s in-game currency)
  • the furthest level you’ve reached, and which levels have already paid their first-win reward
  • which tutorial lessons you’ve finished
  • your Daily Journey progress: how many beacons are lit this week, the dates you last won the daily puzzle and claimed the daily gift, the latest date the game has seen, and whether this week’s vault was opened
  • your profile (the name you choose, your picture and frame), your settings (sound, vibration and colorblind mode), your stored power-ups, and which tips, cards and feedback questions you’ve already seen
  • a list of the purchases the game has already delivered (Apple’s transaction numbers only), so the same purchase is never given twice

This information stays on your phone. It is not sent to us or to anyone else. If you delete the game, it is deleted too.

2. Anonymous gameplay analytics

To understand how players use the game (for example, which levels are too hard), the game sends short gameplay events to our analytics provider, PostHog (PostHog, Inc., with servers in the United States).

What is sent. These are the only events the game sends:

  • the app was opened (with the furthest level reached and the Cosmium balance) and the home screen was shown
  • a level was started, won (with how long it took, and how many continues and power-ups were used) or lost, and when a level was retried
  • a continue, a power-up or an extra parking spot was used, and whether it was paid for with Cosmium, a stored power-up or by watching an ad
  • an optional reward ad was offered or watched
  • the shop was opened, or a tutorial lesson was finished
  • Daily Journey: the board was opened (with how many beacons are lit), the daily gift was claimed, the daily puzzle was started, won or lost (with the date, the day’s twist, and how long it took), a beacon was lit, or the vault was opened
  • a short feedback question, only if you choose to answer it: once, after level 5, the game asks how fun the levels were (1 to 5 stars) and whether they felt too easy, just right or too hard. Nothing you type is sent. If you tap “Tell us more by email”, your email app opens a message to us, and we only see what you choose to send.

With every event, the game also sends its version and build number, and your phone’s region and language settings (for example “CA” and “en”). Events carry a random IDcreated by the game the first time it runs and stored on your phone. It lets us count events from the same install together. It isn’t linked to your name, your Apple ID, or any other account.

What is not sent or kept.

  • No names, emails, phone numbers, contacts, photos, or precise location.
  • No advertising ID (IDFA), and the game does not ask to track you across other companies’ apps and websites.
  • No screen recordings and no automatic recording of your taps or screens. Only the events listed above are sent.
  • Your IP address is not stored. Our analytics project is set to discard IP addresses.

Analytics is not sent from the development version of the game or its web preview. The game keeps working normally if analytics can’t be sent (for example, when you’re offline).

Game updates.Separately from analytics, when the game opens it checks Expo’s update service (Expo is run by 650 Industries, Inc., in the United States) for small fixes we’ve published. This check sends only technical details: the platform (for example iPhone), the game’s version and update number, the update channel, and a random ID that the update service creates on your phone (different from the analytics ID) so updates can be counted. If an earlier update failed to start, the check also sends that error message so we can fix it. It doesn’t include your name, your gameplay or your saved progress. Like any internet connection, it comes from your phone’s IP address; Expo’s own privacy policy covers how Expo handles that.

3. Ads

Some buttons offer an optional reward (for example a free power-up or a second try) if you watch a short video ad. Ads only play when you tap one of these buttons. There are no ads while you play a level, and you never have to watch one.

The ads come from Google AdMob (Google LLC, in the United States). We set them up this way:

  • Not personalized. We ask Google for non-personalized ads only, so ads are not chosen based on your interests or your activity in other apps.
  • No tracking request. The game never shows Apple’s “Allow tracking?” prompt, so Google can’t use your phone’s advertising ID (IDFA).
  • Family-friendly content. Ads are limited to content rated for general audiences.

To show an ad, Google’s ad software in the game connects to Google and receives technical information it needs to deliver the ad, measure it, limit how often the same ad shows, and prevent fraud. This can include your IP address (which gives an approximate location, such as your country or city), the type of phone and its software version, an identifier for the game on your phone, and how you interacted with the ad (for example, whether it was finished). Google handles this information under its own policies: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. We don’t receive this information from Google in a way that identifies you; we only see overall numbers, such as how many ads were shown.

4. In-app purchases

You can buy optional Cosmium packs and bundles in the game’s Shop. Purchases are made through Apple using your Apple Account and handled under Apple’s terms and privacy policy. We never receive your name, Apple Account details or payment information. Apple tells the game which item was bought and gives it a transaction number; the game checks the purchase with Apple on your phone, adds the item to your game, and keeps the transaction number on your phone (see section 1). Refunds are handled by Apple.

5. Children

The game is designed to be suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. The analytics described above is anonymous and does not identify a child.

6. Where information is processed

Analytics events are processed and stored by PostHog in the United States. The update check goes to Expo in the United States. Ads are delivered by Google in the United States and other countries where Google operates. Purchases are handled by Apple. Saved progress never leaves your phone.

7. Your choices

  • Delete your game data:deleting the game from your phone removes your saved progress and the game’s random analytics ID. If you reinstall, the game starts fresh with a new random ID.
  • Ads:they are always optional. If you don’t tap a button to watch one, no ad plays.
  • Questions or requests: contact us at stacy@stacysdigitalplayground.com. Because analytics data is anonymous and not linked to you, we usually can’t find one person’s events, but we will help where we can.

8. Changes to this policy

We’ll update this policy when the game changes how it handles information. We’ll change the effective date above, and for important changes we’ll let you know in the game or on the App Store listing.
